Pursuing Unity through Prayer

I’ve two prayer requests coming out of Colombia. Ephesians 4:4-6 says, “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism,  one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

A favorite song of mine in Spanish that is based on this verse begins,

Only one Body, only one King,
The same grace, the same faith
And the chorus continues with,

All together let us proclaim
The Jesus is our King and God, our Savior
May God bless the efforts of Colombian and Brazilian pastors as they seek to build a stronger unity in the faith that we all share.

COLOMBIA. In October, a volunteer group of 60 pastors and leaders from Brazil will be in Colombia on a visioning trip. They want to work with Colombian Baptists as the Lord leads. Pray that Colombian Baptists will also capture God's vision and will be willing and available to partner with these Brazilian brothers and sisters in Christ to share the Good News of Jesus with those who don't know Him.
NU OF COLOMBIA (noo). Thank you for your prayers for S, the young professional who spent a month in the jungle with the Colombian missionaries who work with the Nu people. She had a good experience and has safely returned home to the city. Pray that God will continue to grow her in her walk with Him and that she will clearly understand and follow His direction for her life.
