Book Review: Thank You, God, For Blessing Me

Thank You, God, for Blessing Me by Max Lucado is a rhyming board book that teaches children to thank God for blessings from playtime to “eight little buggy feet”. The rhymes have a soft, almost sleepy rhythm that babies and young children will enjoy hearing even if they’re too young to understand the meaning. Soft watercolor illustrations with adorable bugs and nature scenes accompany the words. Another plus is the soft book cover and board-like pages. Although I realize how short young children’s attention spans are, I wish the book was slightly longer because it’s only 10 pages. If I were looking to buy a children's book, I might choose a book with more pages even if I can't finish reading it at once. Still, the rhymes and cute bugs with a positive message make the book worth looking into.
