After 2,000 Years the Ar are Beginning to Hear!

If you haven't noticed by now, many of the prayer requests coming out of Colombia are focused on outreach to indigenous groups. Yesterday Today's Prayer had a request concerning the Ar people. This will be the second request I've posted about them (read the first here). I don't know much about the Ar. I know that they are largely lost, largely untouched by the gospel. J and A, national missionaries, are seeking to find a contact among the Ar people to help learn their language.

AR OF COLOMBIA (ahr). Please continue to pray for the Colombian national missionaries to the Ar of Colombia, J and A, asking that God will provide a member of the Ar people group to live in their home and help them in their language acquisition. Give thanks to God for two women of the Ar community, NCh and her sister, CCh, who have visited with J and A and have heard the Gospel story. In March, NCh prayed to receive Christ as her Lord and Savior. Pray for her, asking that she will grow in grace and in her knowledge of Christ as Lord and Savior. Pray that her sister, CCh, will also make the decision to follow Him. Ask the Lord to continue to open doors of opportunity for J and A to have contact with members of the Ar community and to share the Gospel with them.

Praise God for the firstfruits of NCh who has received Christ and pray for many more to follow!
